Moving into Peru

I am now moved into Peru staying at the guest house here and I feel very comfortable here already. It feels great to be settled into a place again and I'm really looking forward for my time here. Yesterday I went to visit the children at the day care where I be working at a lot this summer and it was a blast to play with these kids. The children's parents work in the garbage dump in the area and the day care allows the kids to not be in the dump all day with their parents. In the evening I went to small group at America Sur, which is one of the local C&MA churches here. Most of them were in their 20's and I had a lot of fun getting to know them. It's really cool to be making friends with the locals here and connecting with people my age.
Today I went to church in the morning at America Sur again and it is always a lot to take in a service all in Spanish, but I really enjoyed it. Being Sunday, we couldn't work anywhere here so we went to the beach for the afternoon. I spent a couple hours learning how to surf with one of the other interns and a couple of people from the group. Somehow I was able to pick it up quickly and am sore now from doing it so much. I swallowed a lot of salt water, but it was defiantly worth it and it was cheap enough where I can go some more this summer for sure. Here are some pictures from surfing and I will fill you all in on life in Peru again when I have a chance.
